The Greatest Thing

It is the Greatest Thing in the world. It is the Most Wonderful Thing in the world.

The truth of the matter is this:

• God is real.

• He created the world.

• He has made himself known through a special group of people, through the writings he inspired them to create and maintain, and through one man from that group who fulfills the writings and makes reconciliation with God possible.

It is Most Amazing. The simple facts are these:

• Men and women are separated from God.

• God established a system of reconciliation through shed blood, achieved ultimately through the death of his son.

• His son was raised from the dead, and, through a person's belief in this resurrection and acceptance of the son as Lord, salvation is received.

• Salvation means reconciliation with God and leads to eternal life, victory over death, the most ancient of desires.

This is the gospel, the good news. Here, then, is the wonderful communication:

Joh 3:16 : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It is the greatest, most amazing thing in the world.

And, to cap it off, he came once, and he is coming again.

Joh 14:1-3 : 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Most wonderful! Most amazing!
