Christian Poems

Although I wrote most of these poems during a ten-year period from about 1974 to 1984, I've written or revised many of them more recently. I've grouped them into several sections:

Conversion Poems — Poems of spiritual conversion, accepting Christ as savior.
Worship Poems — Poems of worship, praising God and his Christ.
Reflection Poems — Poems reflecting on the past, with Christian scenes from long ago.
Conviction Poems — Poems of conviction, promoting a Christian point of view.
Rapture Poems — Poems of the rapture and the resurrection of believers.
Conflict Poems — Poems of spiritual conflict and struggle.
Persecution Poems — Poems of persecution, economic, social, and spiritual.
Advent Poems — Poems of the second advent, the coming of Christ, and events leading up to it.

These poems may at times seem a bit earnest, and sometimes they do border on being outright propaganda, but if you've really bought into the message, what else can you do? Of course I think even the most determined of these poems still have some striking images and great sounding words.
