As if there wasn't enough detail about how I became a Christian scattered across this web site, here it is, all in one place.
Christian? Don't you become a Christian by being born into a Christian family and going to a Christian church? No, both technically and spiritually. It is not genetic. It is not ethnic. It is not cultural. You become a Christian by believing in and accepting Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
In fact, my own background, my own religious culture, although contributing to my own beliefs both past and current, worked against my becoming a Christian.
Being born again? Not in my home. Believing the Bible literally? Not in my church.
So here is the full, sorry tale, from start to finish.
Me & My Friends — A Quaker, (almost) born and raised.
God Encounters — Encountering God beyond the Quakers.
Gods and Men — Finding God beyond the Quakers.
Being Born Again — Finally accepting Jesus.
